Tender description
A pilot programme of Culturally Appropriate Advocacy (CAA) so that patients from all ethnic backgrounds can be supported to voice their individual needs. Phase 2. Lot 1: a. As part of the Mental Health Act reforms, DHSC is commissioning three pilots in Culturally Appropriate Advocacy, in three different geographical locations in England where there are higher proportions of ethnic minority detentions.<br/>b. Suppliers will be able to develop their model of Culturally Appropriate Advocacy as they see fit, however they will need to do this in line with some specific requirements. For example, the model must include plans to engage people from ethnic minority groups and be developed with input from the relevant local authority and NHS mental health trust.<br/>c. Suppliers should be able to demonstrate expertise and experience in delivering advocacy services and services which engage and support people from ethnic minority groups. We particularly encourage consortium bids, including between advocacy providers and community ethnic minority support organisations.<br/><br/>INVITATION TO MARKET ENGAGEMENT EVENT<br/>DHSC would like to invite prospective bidders to attend a pre-market engagement session on Thursday 27th October 2022 15-16GMT via MS Teams.<br/>The agenda for the day is as follows:<br/>• Introductions<br/>• Overview of the requirement, <br/>• Proposed Award Strategy and Procurement Overview,<br/>• Discussion / Q&A <br/>Note that the route to market will be the Open Procedure.<br/><br/>The pre-market engagement session will provide an opportunity for potential providers to find out more about the aims of the procurement and the process. Providers wishing to attend need to register their interest by Tuesday 25th October 2022 at 14:00. stating their name, company and email. <br/>To obtain further information and register your interest to attend please follow these steps:<br/>1. Log in or Register through the supplier portal at https://health-family.force.com/s/Welcome<br/>2. Locate the opportunity using 'My Proposals and Quotes' or in 'Find Opportunities'<br/>“Insert”<br/>3. Click Register Interest<br/>4.
