Creation of WY VRU Animations

Tender description

We are looking to commission an animation company to create a series of 2D animation explainer videos and social media adverts highlighting the work of the West Yorkshire Violence Reduction Unit and its priorities. To achieve the priorities outlined by the Home Office, the West Yorkshire Violence Reduction Unit (VRU) must deliver communications and engagement material, which resonates with its key target audiences. Any asset must build an understanding of the work of the VRU and also seek to educate young people through behavioural change approaches. We know through our own social media research the challenges associated with apps and the algorithms which dictate what young people watch. The Violence Reduction Unit must also be part of this sphere to counter negatives imagery and narratives, allowing young people to make informed choices. Online harms and safeguarding align to many of the recommendations emerging from our research and this must form part of our future thinking and approach. To have a greater impact, we would like to commission an animation company to help engage young people on key themes via the relevant online platforms. This content is expected to hold longevity, catering for future local and national agendas relating to serious violence.
