BSH/CEN/Temple Island enabling works - WPD 2 11kV reinforcement scheme

Tender description

Electricity connection works by Western Power Distribution (South West) plc ("WPD") for a 6MW Connection at Temple Island. This is required as part of the enabling works needed to enable Temple Island for development. The nature of this projects requires both contestable and non-contestable works to be delivered. Non-contestable works fall outside of BCC procurement rules as these can only be delivered by the statutory undertaker in this case Western Power Distribution (WPD). (Clause 1.20 of BCC procurement rules). Contestable works fall within BCC procurement rules as these can be undertaken and by Independent Connection Providers (IPC), however these equate to less than 10% of the total contract value
