Background Northumbria Healthcare Facilities Management Limited (NHFML) is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust (the Trust). Established in January 2012 with the first property and founding contract awarded to build and operate ‘hard’ facilities management at the Northumbria Specialist Emergency Care Hospital. Activities have gradually extended to now incorporate all sites across the Trust estate and delivery of all hard and soft facilities management services and capital projects. Requirement NHFML is seeking Expressions of Interest (EOI) from companies interesting in bidding for the design and build of a Sterilisation Plant for the sterilisation of goods, including textiles through use of ethylene oxide. The Plant is to be located at Northumbria Healthcare NHS Manufacturing and Innovation Hub, Seaton Delaval, Northumberland. The primary throughput will be surgical gowns and have a solution must have a capacity to achieve minimum 40 UK pallet throughput per week based on single daily operation. NHFM is currently looking for expressions of interest in this contract.
