<p>ROUTES is a lived experience mentoring service delivered to young people who have been brought to the attention of the VRU due to concerns about serious violence or exploitation. These children are managed in our Partnership Intelligence Management Meeting, with the aim to intervene early and change the trajectory of a young person becoming involved in Serious Violence.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>This service has a clear remit of supporting children and young people where there are known risk/concerns around peer-on-peer violence/association, knife crime and criminal exploitation. ROUTES is not a preventative service and only supports those young people where there are significant concerns and risks linked to criminal exploitation.&nbsp;The provider must ensure they have capacity to support 15 young people at any one time.</p> <p>South Gloucestershire Council are looking to hold an online (Microsoft Teams) information event on the 31st October at 13:30hrs to outline the commission for potential providers.</p> Keywords: Youth Offending, Mentoring, Lived Experience, Violence Reduction Unit, Criminal exploitation
