Overview - Lewis Pies Limited make pastry based products for a range of sectors. We pack pieces into crash lock cartons by hand. This is a very labour intensive manual operation. We are looking for equipment to automate or partially automate the packaging of pieces (pies, slices, rolls) into end load cartons for use in retail or Aeroplane use. The current operation is inefficient and we need to greatly increase throughput. Requirement - High Speed End Loading Fully / Semi Automatic Cartoner for Food Packaging for use with multi shaped products. Specifics - Operational Requirements- Labour Saving, superior line efficiency and line speeds on a high range of products and packaging on the machine suited to high volume production requirements and a varying size requirement (Pie, Roll, Pasty). Futureproofed fitting with a standard collation and transfer system to deliver maximum throughput and efficiency covering a wide range of product types or Possible coupling with an infeed transfer system to fully automate the collation and delivery of different types of products directly from a line and into the machine infeed. Accurate and efficient loading of products into the Carton at high speed. Low product snagging on the cartons at high entry speed Compact footprint saving valuable floor space Operation and Cleaning of the machine must be easy for the operators Performance - High Performance and Fully or Semi Automatic Quick change and Easily adjustable to synchronise with various types of product and packaging Flexibility in the type of carton to be used in packaging Adjustable carton magazines Flexibility in the weight of product to be packed Minimum Box Size range and Maximum Box Size Range data to be provided with availability of Special Applications beyond the minimum and maximum dimensions upon request The Cartoner must run a range of sizes from small single to large and multipack cartons.
