Single-crystal X-ray Diffractometer

Tender description

CMAC is looking for a replacement Single Crystal X-ray diffractometer to operate in the existing world class X-ray Facility in the Technology and Innovation Centre at the University of Strathclyde. The X-ray suite is a key pillar in the overall analytical capability, providing an expansive and comprehensive array of X-ray techniques, to aid the day to day and specialised analyses of the crystallisation activities, and support industrial partnerships with Tier 1 (industrial) partners. The new instrument must have both single crystal and diamond anvil cell compatibility and utilise a Molybdenum X-ray source, with optional automated centring and a multi sample screening stage. Replacing an older piece of equipment, the new purchase must represent a significant advancement and advantageous leap in technology, providing marked improvement. As the funding for this equipment item has been awarded under a UKRPIF Net Zero pilot scheme, there must be clear evidence of reduced energy consumption in the technology solution proposed.
