Tender description

NHS Health Education England (HEE - the Commissioner) are commencing a tender for Exam support for trainee doctors, dentists and pharmacists for the East of England. The PSW aims to support all doctors, dentists and pharmacists in training whose exam performance may have been affected by circumstances that have arisen preventing progression throughout the training process, whether these circumstances are personal, training or work related. Doctors, dentists and pharmacists in training can either self-refer to the PSW for exam support, or the PSW may receive a referral from the educator. Upon receipt of the referral form, the Professional Support and Well-being Service (PSW) will triage the individual case and decide on what support would be beneficial to the individual. In many cases, the PSW will make an onward referral for individual exam support or attendance at an exam support workshop. The PSW will expect the provider to acknowledge the new referral within 24 hours and confirm they will make contact with the doctor, dentist or pharmacist in training to offer an initial phone call / virtual meeting to obtain an overall picture and understand the specific needs. The PSW would expect the provider to be in touch with the doctor, dentist or pharmacist within five working days. The maximum financial envelope for this procurement exercise is £54,000 (+Vat) £18,000 per year (+Vat). The contract period will be for one (1) year, with the option to extend by up to a further two (2) years (1+1) subject to annual review and available budget. The deadline for submission of completed ITT submissions is 3rd November 2022 at 12:00pm (midday). Late submissions will not be accepted therefore, please submit in good time prior to the deadline date and time. All communications should be made via the messaging function on the e-Tendering portal during the tender exercise. The Contracting Authority requests that all communications are channelled through the e-portal system and not with the Contracting Authority itself other than as expressly permitted within this ITT.
