Contract for Swansea Tree Canopy Cover survey and Tree Planting opportunity mapping and report

Tender description

To undertake a tree canopy cover and tree planting opportunity survey and mapping exercise for the whole of the city and county of Swansea using available council GIS layers including the council’s potential tree planting map combined with the council’s Bluesky national tree map data and further open source data etc. Produce an existing and potential canopy cover assessment report. Currently the Council does not have an accurate county wide survey data of the tree canopy across Swansea of both council owned land and land in other ownership.  This project will provide a baseline of the county’s current tree assets enabling a strategic approach to connectivity and tree planting across the County.
