<p>The aims of this commission are to produce a parking study for the Harbour Regeneration Area study area in order to: • Develop an evidence-based approach to the way vehicular parking is provided in the Harbour Regeneration Area to sustain long term economic, social and environmental well-being and growth in line with the Adopted and emerging new Local Plans. • Identify which existing car parks can be released for redevelopment without long-term detriment to the local economy. • Identify which car parks can be intensified and redeveloped for public vehicular parking. • Undertake a review of the Borough-wide Parking Standards set out in the 2014 SPD in relation to the Harbour Regeneration Area and consider whether this area could benefit from a bespoke Parking Standard, and develop any required standard accordingly.
