Provision of an Energy Consultant to North Ayrshire Council

North Ayrshire Council (“NAC”) is looking to engage with the market ahead of a potential contract opportunity for an Energy Consultant. NAC are currently out to tender for the design and build of a Solar PV Farm at Nethermains, Kilwinning. It is currently estimated that construction will commence in summer 2022 with a 6-month duration. NAC do not have an estimated start and end date however, it is anticipated NAC will require consultation advice before summer 2022. Bidders should note that this PIN does not constitute any guarantee or work, it’s purely for market research purposes. The main elements of consultation required are: Advise on the best route to market to maximise income generation from the renewable energy; Advise on the long-term sale of energy strategy for the entire solar farms life cycle (20 years); Engage and participate with utility companies on NACs behalf to negotiate and secure energy prices and contract durations; Sell the energy on NACs behalf; Advise NAC on the best route to market to maximise income generation from its proposed portfolio of renewable energy infrastructure; Share market insight and any emerging trends which may be beneficial to assist NAC with its Net Zero 2030 target.
