Tender description

Lot 1: Parenting support services for Hampshire. In 2015 the Contracting Authority competitively tendered through an Open procedure for a three year contract in Hampshire only which commenced on 1st April 2016. In late 2019, commissioners took up the legally provisioned option to extend for 2 years until 31st March 2021. In 2021 the contract was extended by another 6 months plus 6 months until 31st March 2022. Under the Public Contracts Regulations 2015, the Contracting Authority considered COVID-19 to be a state of urgency that had been brought about by circumstances which a diligent contracting authority could not have foreseen. A response to the pandemic was therefore required in order to safeguard public health risks and risk to life by securing safe and continued service provision. Barnardos Specialist Parenting Support Services provide parenting programmes for families with children aged 5-17 years, with ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder) and ASC (Autism Spectrum Condition) in Hampshire (not including Southampton, Portsmouth or Isle of Wight) As detailed below, the Contracting Authority considers that the further need for modification has been brought about by circumstances which a diligent contracting authority could not have foreseen. For an additional 12 months from 1st April 2022 until 31st March 2023. The value detail is for 12months only as broken down below.
