IDA National Technology Park, Limerick, Engineering Consultancy Services for Foul and Surface Water Network Condition Review and all associated Infrastructural Rehabilitation & Upgrade Work

IDA Ireland is seeking an Engineering Consultancy Company for a whole stage (1to 5) design led service to include a detailed condition review of the existing foul & surface water network at the IDA National Technology Park, Co Limerick.The National Technology Park occupies a strategic location between the Shannon / Mulkear Rivers and the Dublin Road, with principal access points off this road. It is anticipated that the sites will be in public areas, land under the control of the IDA and on private lands where IDA has been granted authority to access for the purpose of the review. The aim of the survey is to assess the current conditions including structural integrity of the existing drainage assets and to identify the current capacity and any spare hydraulic capacity within the system to deal with any future expansions of the subject areas. The final report must outline the condition of each of these services and make recommendations about undertaking repairs or replacements if deemed necessary of these services and the estimated costs of the remedial works recommended. The overall aim of this project is to ensure that the infrastructure on the Park is in line with current standards. The consultant will be required to appoint a PSDP, from inception through to practical completion. The project shall be conducted in two phases, with Phase 1 being a desk‐top assessment comprising collection of all relevant information, consultation with third parties, external stakeholders and preparation of maps and preliminary report for the current and proposed infrastructure which will involve making recommendations and completing the outline and developed design process for the delivery of same. Phase 2 will include management of the procurement process for the appointment of suitable contractors to deliver the resulting recommended infrastructure upgrades (stage 3), the management of the construction stage 4, and Handover and Final account stage 5.
