BHCC Patcham High School - Dining Hall Extension

Tender description

The Council is conducting this Mini-Competition using the Orbis Construction Framework. This project is for the design and complete construction of a new Dining Hall extension at Patcham High School, in Ladies Mile Road, Patcham, Brighton. This infill extension will provide increased dining facilities and a flexible teaching space for the school, which currently has over 1000 pupils. This double height, clear spanning space links on three elevations to the existing school in the centre of the existing school footprint. The proposed development measures 245m2 and will be constructed within an area currently used as a recess space. It will be located in the eastern area of the site, breaking through to an existing corridor. In addition to this, an opening will be made within the stage wall in order to allow dual aspect use of the stage. The project will be delivered within a live school site.
