Tender description
FLS is responsible for managing the Scottish Ministers’ land. Forestry and Land Scotland have a network of forest roads critical to supporting all access which enable the management of the estate. There is a requirement to maintain the existing roads to ensure delivery of the business objectives. Medium Term Contracts (MTCs) are therefore required for Hired Machinery and Maintenance. In order to meet our requirements we will appoint one single Contractor for Hired Machinery & Maintenance for our Central Region. The successful Contractor will be expected to respond to meet our program of work for that location. We will also appoint a reserve contractor who will only be utilised in the event of complete failure of the Contractor.
