The Hoddesdon School Trust are seeking a management partner for The John Warner Sports Centre, a joint use facility based at The John Warner School, Hoddesdon. The facilities include a 6-lane 25m swimming pool and 77m2 teaching pool, a 4-court sports hall, and 114 station fitness suite. The contract commences in July 2023 and is for 10 years with an option to extend by 5 years. The procurement will be based on a lean single staged process. It is owned by The Hoddesdon School Trust (the "Trust"), which is a multi-academy trust. The Trust was formed in September 2016, and is formed of The John Warner School, The Cranbourne Primary School, and Roselands Primary School. The John Warner Sports Centre is located adjacent to The John Warner School (the "School"). The School is a mixed Secondary school with Academy status, with c. 1,300 students on roll. The core leisure facility is The John Warner Sports Centre, a joint use facility based at the John Warner School in Hoddesdon. The facilities include a 6-lane 25m swimming pool and 77m2 teaching pool, a 4-court sports hall, and 114 station fitness suite. The Trust is seeking a partner operator to manage the facility. The facility is used by School students during term time (with community access to health and fitness facilities) and the community at other times. The Trust has identified the following key Strategic Objectives for the services to be delivered by the successful leisure operator which are designed to contribute to the Trust's wider Strategic Outcomes: 1. Delivering high quality services on behalf of Trust's staff and students. 2. Contributing towards reducing the School's CO2 emissions reduction targets. 3. Ensuring the facility is maintained to a high standard throughout the life of the Contract. 4. Increased opportunities to participate in sport and physical activity. 5. Providing wider social value through training and employment opportunities for School students. The Trust is running a single staged procurement under the Concessions regime.
