Autostainers are commonly used to support reproducible, consistent and high throughput staining of tissues/cells on slides. They support chromogenic and immunofluorescent staining of specific protein, RNA and microRNA targets using immunohistochemistry, in situ hybridisation and RNA scope approaches. This staining provides information on the specific subcellular location and quantity of a target of interest. Tenders are sought for the Supply, Delivery & Installation of an Autostainer for the Discipline of Surgery research laboratory at NUI Galway. The Autostainer is required for analysis of tissue histology, including expression of specific protein and microRNA signatures in cells and tissues. A fully automated research platform for single and multiplex IHC and immunofluorescence, chromogenic and fluorescence ISH (DNA, mRNA, microRNA) and RNA scope applications is required. The system must also be capable of supporting pre-staining steps (e.g. de-waxing, antigen retrieval) and support running a combination of applications simultaneously. The required ancillary devices (e.g. PC/laptop and software, label printer) along with system delivery, installation and in person training for researchers are also required.
