<p>CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE’S SPEECH, AND LANGUAGE THERAPY SERVICES PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS A SOFT MARKET TEST ONLY TO ASSIST HALTON BOROUGH COUNCIL AND NHS CHESHIRE AND MERSEYSIDE ICB WITH RESEARCH AND PREPARATION AND IS NOT A FORMAL TENDER. Halton Borough Council and NHS Cheshire and Merseyside ICB are currently looking at how to develop their jointly commissioned Children and Young People’s Speech and Language Therapy offer and are testing the market to establish if there are suitable organisations that can provide quality-assured services and activities to meet the Scope of the Service as outlined below. High quality child-focused and community-based speech and language therapy provision is vital to maximising the communication and language skills, cognitive, social and emotional development, educational achievement and attainment, and future career and employment opportunities for all children and young people in Halton, many of whom live in areas of multiple deprivation.
