Tender description
Cefas’ main building in Pakefield Road has been closed for remedial works for most of 2022. In November 2022 the building will reopen and our staff, who have been predominantly working at home, will have the opportunity to return to work onsite for part or all of the working week. While longer term options for onsite cafeteria provision are considered, Cefas are looking for a suitably experienced supplier to provide our staff with access to hot and cold food, drink and snack options. As access to our cafeteria will not be permitted, we envisage the service to be provided by way of a visiting vehicle or by providing a method for online/telephone ordering and subsequent delivery, however we are open to innovative offers on how this can be provided. Please note, we are unable to consider vending solutions, but considerations include: • to provide a daily onsite presence prior to lunchtime to deliver a range of pre-ordered hot and cold food/snacks/refreshments. Orders could be received from staff earlier in the day, and delivered daily. • To provide a daily onsite presence in a pre-agreed time window, to offer a variety of hot and cold food/snacks/refreshments served from a suitably equipped van in the Cefas car park, or Cefas Atrium. Payments will need to be accepted via cash and cashless payment systems. Choices would need to cater for a variety of dietary requirements including as a minimum vegetarian, vegan and gluten free. Cefas would like a wide variety of choices catering for the time of year, such as sandwiches, wraps and paninis, soup, jacket potatoes, pies, pastries, savoury and sweet snacks etc. Cefas employs approximately 500 staff, split between 2 buildings on the same site, but the nature of work means that the average daily number expected onsite is around 150-200. This does not mean that all staff onsite will use the service and Cefas cannot commit to a minimum level of spend/sales. Please note that the number of staff on site could
