Prior Information Notice for the Provision of an LGBTQ+ Youth-Led Mental Wellbeing Service Pilot Market Engagement Event

NHS Greater Manchester Integrated Care and #BeeWell are seeking to commission a pilot of a service with the aim of addressing the inequalities in wellbeing experienced by LGBTQ+ young people. This notice intends to identify organisations who would like to express an interest in providing these services and to invite interested parties to attend a virtual Market Engagement Event on 6th October 2022. The pilot of the service will use the #BeeWell data to ask more questions, and will operate at a Greater Manchester-level in the first instance. The project commits £60k for a delivery partner to support youth-led commissioning to support LGBTQ+ young people. The pilot will seek to build on positive examples and best practice across Greater Manchester, to share this insight and see if these offers and experiences can become more consistent across Greater Manchester. The provider will demonstrate how they can deliver sustainability in the pilot and making a lasting impact in communities, one example highlighted was that this could be in peer mentoring. The pilot is funded due to findings in the #BeeWell data, that show inequalities in wellbeing for LGBTQ+ young people. The pilot will also link with a qualitative research project at the University of Manchester to understand what is driving the data. This research will be ongoing alongside the project, rather than provide data to inform it. There could be the capacity for further investigation of the #BeeWell data by the University of Manchester team, to see how LGBTQ+ young people's experiences vary. • Full contract value: £60k • How long is the pilot: 9 months initially with possibility for extension • Market engagement day event: Thursday 6th October 14:00-15:30, (virtual) • What to expect: The Market Engagement Event is being held for prospective applicants to hear more about the proposed service, along with opportunities for organisations to meet others who they may want to collaborate with on bids. This will provide an opportunity to ask questions and seek clarification on the process. Participation in the engagement exercise is not a mandatory requirement for participating in any potential future procurement; however, levels of interest will assist to inform the NHS GM ICP as to the level of interest from the market and may be used to evidence a decision as to whether or not to undertake a competitive procurement.
