Fermoy FRS Pump Station Operation and Maintenance

Tender description

The Munster Blackwater River Fermoy North and Fermoy South East & South West Drainage Schemes are designed to provide flood protection measures to the town of Fermoy, Co. Cork from flooding of the River Blackwater on both sides of the river. The town is protected from flooding by a combination of works which include permanent flood walls, demountable flood walls, embankments and pumping stations along both sides of the banks of the Blackwater River. On the North Side, two pumping stations have been installed behind the line of the flood defences to discharge surface water during high water conditions in the river. The Contractor is required to Operate and Maintain 2 no. pumping stations associated with the scheme.
