COBOT Conveyor Feed systems and motion safety detection

Tender description

In this particular instance, AIMS is looking for a demonstration production line, incorporating a high quality, fully automatic machine tool (for example 40t Press Brake, Horizontal Press or similar machine tool), complete with tooling and material storage equipment. The system should be compatible with Universal Robotics COBOTs (for example UR10e), or similar, to demonstrate machine tending capabilities in an autonomous manufacturing environment. COBOTs are not included in the scope of this tender (a sperate tender is published for COBOTs), but integration with the chosen COBOT’s is essential. It is envisaged the system is fully automatic, UKCA approved, complete with tooling and 24month service and warranty contract and capable of being used in light production or in a demonstrative capacity. It must be capable of being integrated with COBOTs for material loading and unloading. This is a demonstration line, and not intended for full industrial production, but rather a flexible showcase, set up to inspire small and medium engineering / production enterprises to scale up their business.
