<p><strong><u>Domestic Abuse Safe Accommodation Support Service </u></strong></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Title:</strong> Domestic Abuse Safe Accommodation Support Service for Children and Young People</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Description</strong>: Kent County Council (KCC) is seeking to ascertain whether there are interested providers for a countywide Domestic Abuse Safe Accommodation Support Service and for feedback on the proposed service model. This service is a statutory requirement for KCC, as defined in Part 4 of the Domestic Abuse Act 2021.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>The scope of the service is to provide specialist domestic abuse support to children and young people aged 0-18 (up to 25 with additional needs) residing in safe accommodation. The service will fund a children’s therapeutic worker post which will deliver:</p> <ul> <li>Play therapy</li> <li>1-1 counselling</li> <li>Group work, including peer support groups</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>The support will be in locations that best suit the child which includes community venues, in the child’s home if appropriate, refuge and virtually. If the child or young person requires different types of support the service will have the capability to purchase external therapeutic support and also activities with a maximum budget for child.
