Award of PKC12020 Internal Wall Insulations

Tender description

Perth and Kinross Council wishes to enter a measured term contract with a selected contractor to carry out the installation of Internal wall insulation to their existing housing properties throughout the Perth & Kinross Council (PKC) area for Energy Efficiency Improvements. The work involves the installation of internal wall insulation to both local authority and privately-owned tenement and flatted properties. The flats are of solid stone construction and have no cavity that can be filled to improve their thermal performance. The internal face of the external walls of each property are to be over clad in a thermally insulated board, works will entail the relocation of electrical outlets and heating appliances, radiators etc. New works will be brought up to a decorative finish on completion. Perth & Kinross Council own approximately 7700 homes for rent including a high percentage of flats with clusters of mixed-tenure housing blocks. The housing stock is divided into 4 areas namely City, North, South and Letham/Tulloch combined.
