Tender description

Research England (RE), one of the nine constituent Councils of UKRI, provides funding for research and knowledge exchange to 136 Higher Education Providers (HEPs) in England. Unlike other Councils whose funding is allocated mostly through competitive funding rounds, most RE funding is delivered in the form of annual block grant allocations at organisational level. The success of RE's policy instruments depends on the way its policy signals are understood and reflected by the leaders of the organisations it funds. For this reason, RE maintains regular contact (engagement) with all the HEPs in receipt of its funding. The purpose of this contact is to create a two-way dialogue, informing and transmitting the policy priorities of RE to institutions.
