Outsourcing Facility only contracts for use of operating theatres with the Independent providers; Parkway Clinic, Sancta Maria Hospital and St Joseph Hospital. Lot 1: The Health Board has historically had significant gaps in capacity and demand across a number of specialties, which have been previously managed through short term solutions such as waiting list initiatives, weekend working and outsourcing high levels of activity to Independent Providers using non-recurrent funding. The impact of severely reduced theatre activity in the Health Board during the Covid19 pandemic has worsened the position to the point where traditional solutions to lengthy and high-volume waiting lists are insufficient and undesirable. SB UHB are looking to direct award a contract for the use of Facilities only with Parkway Clinic, Sancta Maria Hospital and St Joseph Hospital as it is required to allow the Health Board to continue providing critical care to its patients.
