Tender description
The London Borough of Camden works closely with its local NHS partners in the delivery of health and social care services. Services range from those medical interventions via primary care; a period of reablement following hospital discharge; short term interventions to respond to a crisis; or long-term care services for those who may require it (which could be arranged via a direct payment) – either through the provision of services at home (such as home-care), access to a range of community services, or, if appropriate residential/nursing care or other specialist resource. Children’s Social Care and the Integrated Care Board are committed to transforming services to those that need them to further promote independence, choice and control for individuals in a place where everyone should have a chance to succeed. We want to ensure that we can provide therapeutic interventions for vulnerable young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabiities (SEND) to improve the clinical, educational and social outcomes of their lives and to help reduce feelings of isolation. We are therefore seeking to commission an equine therapy service that will enhance the offer available within Camden for children with complex needs, improving the educational, emotional health and well-being, clinical outcomes, and improve the quality of life, for children and young people with SEND in Camden. The key details of LB Camden and Camden Clinical Commissioning Group requirements are set out in this document which you should take into account in your response.
