Tender description

Maynooth University wishes to establish the marketplace for the suppliers which are suitably qualified to provide a grid synchronised electrical power generation system to be installed at Maynooth University (“the Capacity Provider”) for the purposes of providing an emergency standby power supply and for the purpose of participation in the Electricity Markets. The Supplier will own, operate and maintain an electricity Generating System, on the Capacity Provider’s premises and provide 24/7 monitoring and remote-control activities; and will use all reasonable endeavours to make the equipment available for the provision of emergency standby power on the Capacity Provider premises on a 24/7 basis. The Supplier will be responsible for the provision and cost of all generator fuel. Fuel consumed during out of market operation of the generator (an example of such operation would be during a failure of the mains) will be subject to a fair usage policy. .
