Tender description

<p>The Councils currently operate 15 sewage treatment plants and several pumping installations across the two districts. These vary in age and type, however the majority have been upgraded or renewed following a programme of investment over the last 15 years. These are legacy installations generally serving smaller villages and range in size from serving populations of around 6 properties to 57 properties. Whilst most of the sewers linking sewerage to these facilities is the responsibility of homeowners to maintain, there are small lengths of sewers and rising mains that are assets owned by the Councils. The Councils also run public toilets, mobile home parks and car parks and maintain associated drainage. This procurement is therefore to provide drainage maintenance services to assist the Councils with their obligations to maintain these facilities for a fixed term of 3 years with possible extensions of a further 2 x 12 months.
