<p>An innovate approach to increasing parents’ understanding of safeguarding their children. Parents should leave knowing:- • what safeguarding their children means, and why it is important • the role of children’s social care and child protection – squash the ‘myths’ and reduce the fear • the importance of working with agencies for the benefit of their children – encourage information sharing e.g. CAF • how to recognise and understand the implications of all types of ‘child abuse’ • what to do if they suspect a child is at risk of harm / being abused.
