RFT for Derrylea Bridge Widening for Cavan County Council The Scope of the works consist of the following:- -Site setup and maintenance; -Provision, maintenance and removal of access; -Traffic management; -Water management; -General site clearance; -Provision of a widening of the twin span masonry arch bridge both upstream and downstream (approximately 10m x 10m total). Widenings to be in reinforced concrete, faced in stonework to match existing; -Road embankment widening of approximately 170 metres in length; -Rehabilitation works to the existing bridge and approaches; -Removal of the existing masonry parapets and construction of new stone wall parapets to match the existing stonewall at the southern face; -Construction of new retaining wall on the northeast and southwest faces that will be clad with stone to match the existing stonewall at the southeast face; -Construction of new approach embankments; -Installation of rock armour on the upstream, western, side of the river bank; -Construction of new footpath and road surfaces, with associated drainage; -Accommodation works; -Utility works; -Act as PSCS for the construction works.
