<p>PLEASE NOTE - This event is not a call off &nbsp;it is an information event for a refresh for new providers to join the APPA only.</p> <p>This event is for new providers who may wish to bid to join the South London Commissioning Partnerships (SLCP) existing multi-provider contractual agreement. SLCP work in partnership with 6 local authorities, and Croydon is the lead borough. The LA's that are part of this partnership is Lambeth, Lewisham, Sutton and AfC (Richmond and Kingston). &nbsp;Providers that are already on the APPA do not need to attend.&nbsp;</p> <p>The event will be held online via Teams meeting on Tuesday 11th October 2022 2pm - 5pm. To register your interest please provide your delegates name and email address via the messaging area of the project on this portal by 12 noon Monday 11th October, you will then receive an invitation via email to attend the Teams event.&nbsp;</p> <p>The SLCP established a multi-provider agreement known as Approved Provider Panel Agreement (APPA) in June 2020 for the delivery of residential and IFA services for children and young people aged 0 - 18years.&nbsp;</p> <p>The APPA has been established under the Light Touch Regime (LTR); the procurement rules applicable to the procurement of health, social and other services listed at Schedule 3 of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015. This offers the flexibility to admit additional providers to increase capacity. This is the first refresh tender opportunity for suitably qualified providers to bid to join the APPA.&nbsp;</p> <p>The services under the APPA have been categorised into 2 Lots and sub-lots shown below. Applicants have the option to bid for Lot 1 or Lot 2 or both.</p> <p><br>Lot 1: Residential Child Care Provision&nbsp;</p> <p>? Sub-Lots (Standard and Specialist)&nbsp;</p> <p>b) Lot 2: Independent Fostering Agency Provision&nbsp;</p> <p>? Sub-Lots (Standard, Specialist and Emergency)&nbsp;</p> <p><br>The residential and foster care service provision will contribute to a number of corporate priorities including:&nbsp;</p> <p> • &nbsp; &nbsp;Children and young people thrive and reach their full potential<br>• &nbsp; &nbsp;Children and young people are safe, healthy and happy, and aspire to be the best they can be<br>• &nbsp; &nbsp;Safeguarding children and young people and improve their outcomes<br>• &nbsp; &nbsp;Good, decent homes ensuring that all people including children have the opportunity to access a suitable home</p> <p>The proposed services for looked after children will facilitate the realisation of the Council’s Equality Strategy objectives:</p> <p>• &nbsp; &nbsp;To improve outcomes for children by providing a better start in life<br>• &nbsp; &nbsp;To achieve better learning outcomes for Children and Young People (CYP) by narrowing the attainment gap for those who are vulnerable<br>• &nbsp; &nbsp;To achieve better outcomes for children and young people by increasing the proportion that say they are listened to and able to influence<br>• &nbsp; &nbsp;To improve support for vulnerable people by making it easier for them to have more choice and control over their lives<br>The Children Act 1989 sets out the duties of local authorities to provide a sufficiency strategy to meet the needs of the Children Looked After (CLA) population i.e. have a range of services that meet the needs of some of the most vulnerable children in society.</p> <p>The Approved Provider Panel for the provision of services for CLA and young people is a means to meeting the Council’s statutory duty and ensuring sufficiency of provision.&nbsp;</p> <p>The procurement exercise will ensure that the services are provided in accordance with:<br>• &nbsp; &nbsp;The Children Act 1989<br>• &nbsp; &nbsp;The Children and Families Act 2014<br>• &nbsp; &nbsp;Promoting the Health and wellbeing of Looked after children &nbsp;- DfE, DoH<br>• &nbsp; &nbsp;Children’s Homes Regulations including the quality standards 2015<br>• &nbsp; &nbsp;National Minimum Standards for Fostering and Residential Care services&nbsp;<br>• &nbsp; &nbsp;Children’s Social Care Standard Outcomes Framework</p> Keywords: APPA Refresh
