Waste and Used Linen Chutes for new hospital - request for information

The Contractor for the new Monklands Hospital (under separate procurement) will be required to provide and install a chute system for the disposal of waste and used linen. In order for NHS Lanarkshire to provide a specification to the contractor for the Chute System, NHS Lanarkshire would like to have dialogue with the market to understand what is available. The Contractor for the new Monklands Hospital (under separate procurement) will be required to provide and install a waste and used linen chute system as part of the project. The chute system will be used to dispose of bagged designated waste and bagged used linen via separate chutes from within designated areas across the hospital to the lowest point of the site. In order for NHS Lanarkshire to provide a specification to the contractor for the chute system, NHS Lanarkshire would like to have dialogue with the market to understand what is available. In particular, the following would like to be understood: * The ability to control or provide a direct vertical chute system for the disposal of non-clean linen/waste and accommodate bags with variable weights dropping into any form receptacle which can range from a 340L Waste bin to a standard delivery metal or similar type cages. * Speed control function in which the bags would fall to ensure safety at the end point.
