Tender description

The Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent Integrated Care Board currently commission the Challenging Behaviour Security Service (CBSS) across the ICB area. The CBSS has been in place for many years having previously been known as the General Practice Security Service.   The service provides security services and personnel to individual GP practices and for the Special Allocations Service (SAS) providers. This service allows GPs and their staff to deliver services to patients who the practice determine have been verbally or physically aggressive in the past, to an extent where advice and support is required, to ensure the safety of staff and patients whilst undertaking appointments, clinics and consultations. The service also provides advice to practices regarding how best to deal with challenging patients. Lot 1: The Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent Integrated Care Board currently commission the Challenging Patient Behaviour Service (CBSS) across the ICB area. Commissioners intend to award a service for total of three years from 1st April 2023 plus an optional extension period of up to 2 years.
