Summary of the work The specialist will be an experienced Delivery Manager in running an Agile team. Managing day to day delivery, development of milestone plans, managing risk and dependencies. Running Agile Ceremonies ,contributing to the overall reporting of the DWP Place product Delivery Teams, upholding DWP values, working within Government Digital Standards. Specialist role Delivery manager Expected Contract Length 6 months with an optional extension period of up to 2 months Latest start date Monday 5 September 2022 Maximum Day Rate Up to £550 ex VAT per day. Standard 8 hour working day, includes expenses to base location agreed with DWP . This role is Inside IR35 Who Speclialist Work With The specialist will work with the existing DWP Augmented Teams, this will consist of DWP Digital staff and other 3rd party suppliers engaged in Service Now development work What Specialists Work On Need to have Delivery Management experience, preferably agile. Able to Sprint plan, lead Agile Squad, manage risks, feed into broader DWP Place roadmaps, conduct Agile ceremonies, Stakeholder engagement, reporting, dependency management. Knowledge of Service Now or knowledge of delivering Integration components desirable but not essential Skills & Experience • Experience in managing a Digital Delivery • Risk Management: Issues and Dependencies • Stakeholder Management, Communication, presentation and faciliation, able to run key Agile Ceremonies such as stand-up retrospectives. • Demonstrate experience of working in a large scale organisation and/or Government or Public Sector installation of Service Now • Providing support and guidance to members of the delivery teams and acting as a point of escalation for issues impacting delivery. • Experience of stakeholder engagment, managing stakeholder expectation, ensuring stakeholders are kept up to date with progress, risks and issues • Ability to plan sprints and undertake Milestone Planning . • Remove blockers from the Agile sprints to allow the squads to complete stories assigned or escalate where appropriate Nice to Haves Knowledge of Service Now and or delivery of Digital integration requirements Work Location Primarily at the DWP Digital Corporate Hub2- Peel Park, Blackpool - although there may be a requirement to work from other DWP locations in the North West. Working Arrangments Specialist will work 5 working days per week . Attendance on site will be 40% of the specialist's time in accordance with DWP's Hybrid working policy. The remainder of the specialist's time will be working remotely . Is there a current Incumbent supplier? Yes. Current contract will complete 2nd September 2022 2. Who is the incumbent supplier and how will you ensure other suppliers are not disadvantaged due to not being an incumbent The incumbent supplier is commercially sensitive information.All bids are evaluated against the same scoring methodology. There is no advantage given for any incumbent. If the incumbent does not score highly enough then they do not progress beyond the initial evaluation round. 3. Under what condition is disclosing the incumbent considered commerically sensitive – please refer to any process or policy documentation?All that is being asked is who is the current supplier which is in the public interest?Who in the department has concluded this information is commerical sensitive and has it be backed up by head of commerical/procurement? The current contract is with Layer 7. The contract award was notified via marketplace on award. 4. There is no advantage given for any incumbent. If the incumbent does not score highly enough then they do not progress beyond the initial evaluation round.Just to be clear the incumbent will not be able to use their current experience working for you in their examples.
