Automated Guided Vehicles for new hospital (robots)

Tender description

The Contractor for the new Monklands Hospital (under separate procurement) will be required to provide and install Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs) as part of the project. In order for NHS Lanarkshire to provide a specification to the contractor for the AGVs, NHS Lanarkshire would like to have dialogue with the market to understand what is available. Lot 1: The Contractor for the new Monklands Hospital (under separate procurement) will be required to provide and install Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs) as part of the project. The AGVs will be used to collect waste from within the hospital and to deliver incoming goods to various wards and departments within the hospital. In order for NHS Lanarkshire to provide a specification to the contractor for the AGVs, NHS Lanarkshire would like to have dialogue with the market to understand what is available. In particular, the following would like to be understood: * The ability to undertake the movement of receptacles/goods without the need for human intervention; * Maximum loads the AGV is able to achieve. * The ability to be able to transport any form of receptacle which can range between but is not limited to, dimensions as indicated below, without the requirement of having to have the receptacles modified or adapted with special brackets/plates; Waste Bin H 137cm W 137cm D 78cm Cage H 169cm W 65cm D 90cm Glass Box H 58cm W 30cm D 30cm Additional information: NHS Lanarkshire will not be procuring these items or the service. The purpose of this PIN is to dialogue with providers of AGVs in order to understand what is available in the market. Although a date for the publication of a contract notice is required for this PIN, the date reflects the possible date of the contractor’s need to approach the market for this procurement.
