Redesign, Build and Host NHS Fife Website

Tender description

Contract for the design, build and hosting of the NHS Fife website. The current NHS Fife website was developed in 2007 and is currently built on a bespoke Content Management System (CMS), the Fife Information Management System (FISH). The current website has over 67,000 pages, files, documents and articles and on average 200,000 page views a month. NHS Fife recognises the value of high quality and targeted communications to support the delivery of service and we are seeking to create a new website, hosting and development platform through this contract. The website will be constructed to meet our user needs and incorporate current best practice in User Experience (UX) Increased mobile and tablet device usage will require a flexible and responsive design approach that will allow easy access of relevant information through various touch points and also improve transparency. A cloud-based hosting infrastructure is to be implemented with back-up and a content delivery network (CDN) facilities.
