Tender description

The University wishes to appoint a Contractor or Contractors to supply a High Pressure Freezing (HPF) system. The system is intended for use in cryo and correlative light electron microscopy studies so must provide high quality sample freezing resulting in amorphous ice without hexagonal ice crystals up to 200um sample thickness. The system is to be an integrated turnkey solution, complete with software and user training. Lot 1: The HPF machine will be used by a wide-range of users who engage with the EM Facility from PhD students to academic staff so usability and supporting a range of applications are required.
