Time4Leicestershire Timebank

Tender description

"The Time4Leicestershire Timebank project launched in 2019 but due to Covid stalled and never got going. The project now needs a relaunch and new project plan to reach its full potential. The timebank allows residents to become members via the software platform and exchange skills with other members. People put up offers of things they can support people with or requests of skills they would like to learn. The project is aimed at tackling low level depression, lonliness and low mood across Leicestershire. It is to promote a sense of community and neighbourlyness. Originally the Timebank was using the software from TimebankingUK called Time Online 2 (TOL2). This software is not fit for purpose and speaking to co-ordinators of timebanks across the country, members are put off by the software, it inhibits how the timebank can grow and leads to the project team being very admin heavy as they have to undertake the online part of the exchange for all members. The Time4Leicestershire project team does not have capacity to be burdened with admin and needs a system where residences can self service and undertake using the software themselves. The project will involve a site begin created that gives members the information and understanding they need to become a member of the timebank. This information is generic to the whole of Leicestershire. This will be the umbrella site for the whole of Time4Leicestershire. The umbrella site will then take members to a specific platform for their district area. This specific platform will have a log in and the systems to allow exchanges of skills.
