Tender description

BBC have awarded a Legal Compliance Logger solution in order to capture, log and record the current TV and Radio Services for Domestic Radio and World Service. The solution is be able to host, log and record around 140 feeds (combination of Radio and TV services) and have the ability to increase its capacity on demand. The system is capable of accepting a full range of AV interfaces and formats including baseband digital video (SD and HD), digital audio and MPEG transport streams delivered over ASI and IP interfaces. The solution is able to record and store the services for at least 90 days’ worth of content across the specified format(s) and at the specified quality. It was preferred to record and store in native format, however, alternative recommendations for reducing file sizes (resolution, bitrates) to increase storage capacity were taken into consideration. Lot 1: Television Lot 1 – Television Compliance Logging system for video feeds able to record, log, store and playback video content. The system must be able to manage a wide range of video input interfaces and formats including (but not limited to) ASI transport stream, SDI video, TSoIP, others. GUI (web-based preferable) allowing the users to search, browse and playback video content Lot 2: Radio Lot 2 - Radio Compliance Logging system for audio feeds able to record, log, store and playback audio content. The system must be able to manage a wide range of audio input interfaces and formats including (but not limited to) ASI transport stream, AES3, AES67, TSoIP, others. GUI (web-based preferable) allowing the users to search, browse and playback audio content.
