Tender description
Transport for West Midlands (TfWM), part of the West Midlands Combined Authority (WMCA), is looking for a suitable provider to develop an E-Learning platform for the Transport Skills Academy (TSA). The E-learning platform will enable a wide range of users to access courses and information around transport related skills. The TSA is focussing attention on three main pillars: 1) Apprenticeships 2) The existing workforce within the transportation sector 3) Young people interested in work experience in this industry, particularly reaching students in years 10 and 12 The E-Learning platform must be accessible for a broad user-base. It must have the necessary requirements for varying login levels, data protection and suitable content and the partnership with the successful provider will review, develop and secure transport infrastructure course content. For the first year of use, the platform will be used by internal TfWM colleagues, and following this use and testing period it will then be rolled out externally. The expectation is that during the first year there will be approximately 400 users, expanding to 1000 or more as external users sign up. A single specialist provider is required to develop and maintain the TSA's e-learning platform for an initial contract period of 3 years from mid-October 2022 with options to extend, on an annual basis, for up to an additional 2 years until mid-October 2027. The closing date for submissions is 1200 noon on Friday 9th September 2022 and if you have any clarification questions please submit them by 1700 on Monday 5th September 2022. This tender is being evaluated on the basis of 65/30/5 quality/price/social value and only those organisations that have responded satisfactorily to the questions in the Qualification Envelope will go on to have their tenders assessed.
