This is not a call for competition. The purpose of this market soundings is to engage with the market to determine the future strategy for the Institute of Pharmacy (IIOP). The IIOP is currently outsourced and the contract is due to expire in Q2 2023. Without prejudice to competition in the marketplace, the purpose of this Market Soundings will be to examine and consider the various technical and commercial options which might present themselves through a competitive tender process should it be advertised in the near future in the context of a short-term contract (3 years) to allow completion of the PSI’s multi-annual strategic project, Review of the CPD Model for Pharmacists (recently advertised on www.etenders.gov.ie under RFT ID 220189), and implementation of any agreed changes, which would influence the future direction of a new contract for the operation of the IIOP and delivery of its services. This exercise is being carried out in accordance with Art. 40 of Directive 2014/24/EU and the key objectives of this exercise are to: Identify the extent of potential market players; Identify the market appetite for a short-term contract; Inform the Contracting Authority with regard to the possible contractual approaches; Assist the Contracting Authority in identifying optimum procurement and commercial arrangements.
