Double Beam Box: Duct Liners and Input Scraper Manufacture Lot 1: The UK Atomic Energy Authority (UKAEA) is a non-departmental government body carrying out research into the potential of nuclear fusion as a future source of energy. As part of an ongoing programme of upgrades and enhancements to the Mega-Ampere Spherical Tokamak (MAST) there is a requirement for more heating power via neutral beam systems. To protect vacuum boundaries from damage due to stray neutral beam power, there is a need for the manufacture of cylindrical and flanged protective Liners. These are to be manufactured from both Copper and Copper-Chromium-Zirconium (CuCrZr). This PIN provides advanced notification to potential suppliers that UKAEA will be releasing an Invitation to Tender for the manufacture of Upstream Duct Liner, Upper Beamline Downstream Duct Liner, Lower Beamline Downstream Duct Liner and Input Scraper.
