Tender description

This procurement is for a contract for the provision of funeral services and deceased patients transfer for Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust. Lot 1: LOT 1 – Barnet and Chase Farm Hospital The provider will be required to carry out basic cremations and burials as instructed by the respective hospital bereavement service as per standard “Public Health Funerals” to the Chase Farm and Barnet Sites. Funerals shall be conducted in a professional manner, with punctuality, decency, dignity and respect whether or not mourners are in attendance. All arrangements for the funeral will be made in accordance with the requirements of the Bereavement service or designated person appointed by the Trust. These requirements may, at times, include bespoke requests, which should be discussed and agreed where possible and any subsequent costs agreed prior to final arrangements being confirmed. All funerals paid for by the Trust shall be carried out at the Contract price and shall be “net”, that is after deduction of all agreed discounts. The amount of any additional duty to the Contract price and any early settlement discounts shall be shown separately in the contract and subsequent invoices A cemetery / cremation authority will be established in agreement with the provider based on cost, efficiency and quality. This will be in agreement with the Trust Bereavement Service.
