Tender description

Galway County Council requires an integrated and fully supported system that provides controlled access to Clifden public library when the library is not staffed and will allow for the provision of normal services during staffed hours. It will also control access based on the capacity of the building. The My Open Library service will enable extended opening hours to library members from 08.00 to 22.00, seven days a week, 365 days a year. The system will integrate with the Library Management System - currently Spydus – to grant or deny access to the building. The supplier will also provide and install the necessary security cameras. The ‘Open Library’ system will interface with IT equipment including self-service facilities, CCTV cameras, lighting, heating, alarm in toilet and fire alarm. It will include a PA system to enable pre-recorded and real time announcements and it will have reporting facilities.
