Tender description

NIBRT is looking to acquire an instrument for electroporation of cells as part of transfection workflows for recombinant protein and gene therapy manufacture. The instrument should allow operation at various scales, ideally from microlitre volumes, up to hundreds of millilitres of cells on the same platform to allow for simple and rapid scaling of processes, especially for transient transfection workflows. The desired instrument will enable these workflows, but crucially, will have been designed to ensure that any component in contact with cells will not contain any material that might produce toxic or harmful by-products during the electroporation process that may detrimentally affect cells.
