Soft Marketing Event – Individual Placement and Support for those affected by substance misuse in Doncaster Venue: - Via Teams – Presentation & Q&A Opportunity Date: - Wednesday 14th September Time: - 10am-11am (Once you have expressed your interest please message the Project Team via the portal to confirm you would like to be invited to the Teams call) Doncaster Borough Council are looking to commission a contract deliver a programme which provides Individual Placement and Support (IPS). IPS is a prescribed programme of employment support targeted at those affected by substance misuse in Doncaster. This contract will run until 31st March 2025 and is valued at up to £148,395 per year. Why is this service being commissioned? A Stable employment is a key a factor in reducing the effects of substance misuse on individuals, their families and local communities. This happens by: • Allowing an individual to work towards or achieve financial independence • Allowing an individual to reach their full potential • Lessening the chance of relapse • Reducing offending or re-offending related to drug misuse. The Project concerns the delivery of the Individual Placement and Support (IPS) employment support approach for people receiving community treatment for drug and alcohol dependence who are unemployed, conducted throughout Doncaster. IPS is intensive employment support delivered by trained employment specialists and provided as part of multi-disciplinary clinical services, rather than separately through mainstream employment support services. There will be an opportunity for 30minute 1-2-1 meetings with the lead commissioner for this procurement from 11:30am - 15:00pm.
