Tender description

To perform testing on up to a total of 100 Table Lamp / Light chains to verify compliance with the above-mentioned Regulations (and any amendments to these): EN 60598-1:2015 & BS EN 60598-2-4:2018 (Table lamp) / EN 60598-2-20:2015 (light chain) Labelling assessment - Visual check according to regulation o Reg 6 &39 CE (or UKCA mark) o Reg 8 Type, batch, or serial number o Reg 8 Manufacturer name, trade name or trademark o Reg 8 manufacturer address o Reg18 Importer's name, trade name or trademark o Reg 18 Importer's UK/EU address Safety testing - Clause 8: Protection against electric shock - Clause 10: Insulation resistance and electric strength, touch current and protective conductor current - Clause 11: Creepage distances and clearance The test methods applied should follow designated standards; the reference numbers of which have been published on www.gov.uk, or other reliable, accurate and reproducible calculation and measurement methods, which considers the recognised state of the art.
