Tender description

Lough Carra LIFE is a five-year project led by Mayo County Council which will work towards improving ecosystem resilience & reducing nutrient pollution in Lough Carra, one of Europe’s premier SAC Marl lakes. The project will take place in the Lough Carra Catchment, Co. Mayo, and will work with farmers, other landowners, and local community groups to restore the Marl Lake habitat and to improve the conservation status of other habitats and species within the catchment area. Lough Carra LIFE seeks tenders for the services of Farm Advisors on the project’s Results Based Agri-environment Scheme. The Farm Advisors will work alongside the rest of the project team on a range of activities relating to the development and coordination of the Scheme, writing and implementing farm plans, providing support and advice to participating farmers, farm monitoring, and community engagement.
