ID 3876628 - DAERA AFBI - Provision of a software framework to process and classify seabed imagery

Tender description

The Agri-Food and Bioscience Institute (AFBI) would like to procure the services of a partner to develop an Artificial Intelligence (AI) system for image processing and feature classification form seabed imagery. The aims is to procure image annotation software to inform an AI system for automatic feature classification during live capture of images. The features identified are typically the burrows of seabed animals. The feature classification tool will be applied to sequential still images, captured from a moving towed camera in near real time. Features of interest may be captured on multiple images – single counts and classification of these is needed, removing duplicated classified features. A bespoke software solution is not required and AFBI will consider off-the-shelf products, however, it is required that the Contractor must manage the integration of all components including hardware into a complete solution. The procurement covers supply of all software and hardware needed to run the AI system during live image acquisition.
